Course Description:

This workshop is designed to help individuals that work with Deaf or hard of hearing children in the academic setting. This presentation will focus on the role of the speech-language pathologist and role of the deaf/hard of hearing teacher and how the two can work together to enhance the language development of their DHH students. Different strategies will be presented that can be used in the school setting.

Learner Outcomes:

Participants will be able to:

  1. Participants will be able to identify the roles of the teacher of the Deaf and the speech-language pathologist.

  2. Participants will complete a Venn diagram to organize the roles of the TOD and SLP

  3. Participants will be able to state different strategies that can be used in the school setting.

This event is offered for 0.20 ASHA CEUs. Only participants who attend the live event will receive a certificate of attendance. Participants who attend the entire webinar and fill out the self assessment form will be considered eligible to earn ASHA CEUs.
