Join us for a one-of-a-kind experience where learning comes to life aboard a real sailboat! During this clinician-led, language-rich adventure, deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) children and their families will explore the world of sailing while building ASL vocabulary through meaningful, real-life experiences. Together, we'll discover sailing concepts and engage in interactive language activities designed to foster communication, curiosity, and connection. Due to limited space on the boat, this session is for DHH children only.
This session will be run by a Deaf interventionist and two ASL-fluent speech-language pathologists. This is a two-hour session comprised of a 30-minute sailing-themed language session at the marina, followed by 90 minutes on the sailboat. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
