Children will stuff and bring their very own bear to life, then become little caregivers as they check their bear’s heartbeat, treat boo-boos, help with recovery, and get their new friend ready to go home. Through hands-on pretend play, children will build ASL vocabulary and language skills while caring for their cuddly new companion! Parents will leave with strategies to continue language growth at home.
This session will be run be a Deaf interventionist and an ASL-fluent speech-language pathologist.
We have a camera in the classroom to support observation. Parents/caregivers may attend sessions with their child, or observe their child’s session in real time from another room.
