Signing Sprouts | Language Group for 7-13 months

This group session is designed specifically for Deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) infants aged 7 to 13 months and their caregivers. Using American Sign Language (ASL) as the foundation, caregivers learn how to connect with their babies in meaningful ways and support early, accessible language acquisition.

Through visual play, shared stories, songs, and responsive communication strategies, families will explore how to encourage visual attention, joint engagement, and early turn-taking. Each session is led by a Deaf language interventionist and an ASL-fluent speech-language pathologist and focuses on rich linguistic input, opportunities for expression, and early access to Deaf culture and community.

Parents/caregivers are required to attend sessions with their child. We follow American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations and avoid screen time for this age group.
