Course Description:

This presentation will go over best practices when interacting with immigrant families with DHH children. It will include common barriers experienced by the immigrant community as well as ways to overcome those barriers

2:30-3:00: Possible solutions to barriers

3:00-3:30: Discussion, Q&A

Learner Outcomes:

Participants will be able to:

  1. Define barriers experienced by the immigrant community

  2. Describe multiple solutions to these barriers

  3. State how to find data on DHH communities by area

This event is offered for 0.20 ASHA CEUs. Only participants who attend the live event will receive a certificate of attendance. Participants who attend the entire webinar and fill out the self assessment form will be considered eligible to earn ASHA CEUs.
