7th Annual Language First Conference

We are moving to the spring!

The Language First Conference is transitioning from the fall to the spring! In order to help make this transition, this year’s conference will be a one-day virtual event on April 27, 2024. Please note this is a different event from the Freeing the Butterfly Conference, which will be held in person in November and will focus on information for general medical and education professionals. Stay tuned for more information!

what is the language first conference?

The Language First Conference is a chance for speech-language pathologists (SLPs), teachers of the deaf (TODs), educational interpreters, educational audiologists, ASL specialists, and any other professionals who utilize an ASL-English bilingual approach to gather and learn best practices for working with Deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) children. You do not have to be fluent in ASL to attend, as ASL-English interpreters will be provided throughout the conference.
